PEACE Project has aimed to strengthen the community-driven adaptation capacity to climate change impacts and develop a sustainable basement for reducing the vulnerability of coastal communities. The project commenced in Bangladesh in 2010 by EED Germany, partnered with CDP (Coastal Development Program), and was taken over by “Brot für die Welt'' (Bread for the World), Germany in 2013. PARIBARTAN-Khulna is implementing four different gender-sensitive and community-driven piloting projects in the Satkhira region of Bangladesh.
