8.Adaptation to Water logging through Soil-less Agriculture/Floating Garden (Hydroponics)
The topographic situation in Bangladesh shows higher elevation on river sides due to silt deposits sloping gradually away from the banks. Besides, there is the presence of several clusters disconnected from the rivers thereby creating a favorable situation for water-logging which provides wider scope for hydroponics to grow. In this respect, show potential. PARIBARTAN – Khulna undertook activities to promote Hydroponics in the water- logged areas of 3 unions of Abhoynagar and Manirampur Upazila in Jessore district and Mollahat Upazila in Bagerhat district.
